CINCINNATI – RWA Architects, Inc. received an award for Commercial Space under 3,500 sf in Cincinnati Magazine’s 7th Annual Interior Design Competition for its addition to Wild Ginger Asian Bistro in Hyde Park. Award winners were announced Saturday, September 26, 2009 at a breakfast held at the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal.

This is the second time that RWA has been honored for its design work at Wild Ginger. In 2007, Cincinnati Magazine recognized the firm for its initial design for the restaurant. The current award lauds the simple, Asian influenced interiors and sustainable design features such as bamboo and fast growth, engineered lumber products employed in the expansion of the restaurant. Be sure to stop by the restaurant and see for yourself…not to mention, the food is great too!

Wild Ginger Asian Bistro is located at 3655 Edwards Road in Cincinnati.

The project team consisted of Michael Mauch, AIA, LEED AP; John Isch, AIA, LEED AP; Ken Workman, AIA, LEED AP; and Ben Novosel, LEED AP

The General Contractor was Perry Contracting.

The Cincinnati Magazine Interior Design Competition honors outstanding and innovative residential and commercial interior design in Cincinnati, Dayton and Northern Kentucky. Winners were selected by a panel of design professionals based in Indianapolis.

Competition winners will be featured in the “Home & Garden” section of Cincinnati Magazine’s December 2009 issue.
