Private Estate Wins Four Lutron Electronics – 2006 Excellence Awards

A private residential estate designed by RWA Architects received a total of four awards in the 2006 Excellence Awards presented by Lutron Electronics. The awards, presented to the home lighting control system provider, Doherty Design Group, LLC, were announced in conjunction with the 2006 CEDIA (Custom Electronics Design & Installation Association) Expo in Denver, Colorado. This awards program honors Lutron’s HomeWorks® total home lighting control system providers for projects completed between June 1, 2005 and June 30, 2006.

Encompassing the lighting and shade controls for seven structures as well as extensive landscape lighting, the project, one of the largest Lutron residential systems ever completed, was recognized with the following awards:

  • Best Total Light Control Project
  • Best Dressed System
  • Most Unique Wired Installation
  • Largest Lutron System

RWA Architects is a Cincinnati, Ohio based design firm specializing in custom, single-family residences, hospitality and specialty retail projects that typically involve extensive architectural detailing and the seamless integration of technology.

Doherty Design Group, a custom electronics systems consulting and installation firm located in Indianapolis, Indiana, was the certified Lutron HomeWorks® total home lighting control system provider.

The general contractor was Crapsey and Gilles Contractors and the electrical contractor of record was Advanced Electric Service, both of Cincinnati, Ohio.
