Arts and Crafts Estate

The original site for this project was a 100-acre farm field with no physical features and only slightly rolling topography posing a challenge for how to make a place for our client. The low-slung, single-floor living house branches and interacts with outbuildings in a way to shape positive outdoor space where one would feel comfortable outside as well as inside the house. Together with a landscape architect we situated the house in a way to create a place within larger outdoor spaces on the overall site. The gable roofed exterior asserts its personality through textured surfaces of skintled brickwork, wavy siding and slate roofing. The interior is detailed with care and attention to luxury living.
