ABOUT US

The two principal partners of our firm, John Isch and Michael Mauch, are joined by a qualified staff of architects and designers. We cooperate closely and derive true enjoyment from the architectural process.

The hallmark of RWA’s work is integrity. Professional integrity means knowing the difference between impractical dreaming and creative solution-seeking. It includes knowing how to balance tradition with new solutions.

In order to maintain the high level of satisfaction our clients enjoy, we begin and end our design process with the focus clearly on them.

We work with our clients directly, so there are no intermediaries to confuse communication. Personal attention, collaborative spirit, active communication, integrity and professional growth motivate our services.

We offer architectural and design excellence locally and nationally. We provide top-quality service to both the client and the contractor. Over the years, some clients have returned to us five or more times because we’ve built such strong, trusting relationships.

Matthew Suer

Associate AIA

Matthew, an Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), attended the University of Cincinnati’s DAAP School of Architecture and graduated with his Bachelor of Architecture Degree when drafting boards (and some say stone tablets) were consistently used. A recent addition to the RWA staff, Matt made the switch to CAD early in his career and has not looked back. Currently testing for the Architect Registration Exam (ARE), Matt spends his spare time volunteering with his church, especially the facilities committee where he served on the Architect’s Selection, Renovation, and Maintenance Sub-committees.

Anna Freudiger

Anna graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. She began her career in residential architecture with RWA in 2016 after being a coop for a few semesters. She is currently developing a website for architecture students by architecture students with hopes to close the gap between universities by providing a space for a collective knowledge. In her spare time she can be found either reading at the pool or trying new recipes.

Christoph D. Schoenlein

Associate AIA

Christoph, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, is a Master’s graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Design. While earning his Bachelor of Science in Architecture at the Kent State University, he spent a semester abroad in Florence, Italy, and was fortunate enough to study under a pioneer of conceptual and radical architecture from the ‘60s. In his spare time, he channels his passion for all things highly crafted (in both the manual and digital senses) into fine woodworking. He loves finding inspiration for his next furniture piece, hoarding quartersawn White Oak stock, and restoring vintage tools.

Mitch S. Curtis

He has been working with RWA since the Summer of 2017; starting as a co-op, but is now on board as a full-time employee, until he returns to school to work towards a Masters of Architecture. His passion for custom residential architecture was brought to fruition at the young age of five, when he was gifted his first set of Lincoln Logs… and he can’t imagine a better place to carry out his dream job. When he’s not doing something architecture related, you could find him at an FC Cincinnati game, watching soccer on TV, playing soccer, or doing something soccer related.
